Literally no one showed up to watch a Canadian soccer friendly

The Canadian men’s soccer team earned an impressive 4-0 victory in their first match with interim coach Michael Findlay, but unfortunately very few, if any, eyeballs witnessed the international friendly against Mauritania in Marrakech, Morocco on Thursday.

There is written and video evidence of the match, so its existence can’t be refuted, but because the sides squared off in an entirely empty stadium it sort of feels like it didn’t happen.

Check out the video below, where you will see not even one person in attendance.

Next up for the senior men’s team, which failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, is a friendly against Morocco on Oct. 11.

The match will involve the hosts, so you have to hope they can fill in at least a couple of those empty seats.
