Kanye West appeared to be in a good mood on Saturday night during the second evening of his Saint Pablo Tour stop in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
The rapper restarted his tour on Friday after cancelling a number of dates to be with his wife, Kim Kardashian West, after she was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room last week.
Performing on an elevated platform to an audience of thousands at the Allstate Arena, the 39-year-old artist told the crowd, “I think it’s safe to say tonight is victory.”
On Friday — during his first return to the stage since abruptly ending his performance at the Meadows Festival in Queens, New York on Oct. 2 after learning of Kardashian’s frightening ordeal — West told the crowd at Chicago’s United Center that it was “good to be home.”
West has not directly mentioned the armed robbery during either of his live performances.
Kardashian was burglarized by armed men who tied her up at gunpoint in her hotel room and made off with $ 11 million in jewels while she was in France for Paris Fashion Week.
